Unfortunately I don’t know who the folder is. This amazing original trilogy X-Wing was photographed at the 5th Korea Origami Convention. Image source: Clone Trooper, Designed and Folded by Morisue Kei (Photo by Jon Tucker) Here’s a pretty awesome photo of one of the prequel’s clone troopers taken at a convention in NYC. Image source: AT-AT Walker, Designed by Morisue Kei and Folded by Nick LaFleur I especially like the details on the joints on the legs. Image source: TIE Silencer, Designed and Folded by Karol Kafarski ![]() Karol Kafarski also designed this fantastic origami version of the TIE Silencer that Kylo Ren flies during the Last Jedi. Image source: Super Star Destroyer, Designed by Morisue Kei and Folded by Никита Васильев Here’s a really excellent paper version of a Super Star Destroyer. Image source: U-Wing, Designed and Folded by Shu Sugamataĭiagrams available from Shu Sugamata’s Flickr Just like the Imperial Shuttle above, since it’s made out of paper you can fold the S-Foils so they’re either open or closed. He also designed this excellent U-Wing, also from Rogue One. Image source: TIE Striker, Designed and Folded by Shu Sugamata This is folded from an extended Fish Base. Shu Sugamata designed a paper version of the TIE Striker from Rogue One. Image source: Old Jedi Master, Designed and Folded by Karol Kafarski It’s folded from a single square of paper and there’s an excellent colour change in the design so you get different colours on the skin and clothes. Karol Kafarski also designed this amazing Yoda. Image source: A-Wing, Designed and Folded by Martin HuntĬrease pattern available from .uk The A-Wing has always been one of my favourite fighters and Martin Hunt designed this fantastic origami version with a very nice colour change in the design. Image source: BB-8, Designed by Hitoshi Kakami and Folded by Nguyễn Tuấn TàiĬrease pattern available from Calico’s Origami Aquarium You definitely need to use orange and white paper to fold this. Image source: Resistance X-Wing, Designed by Karol Kafarski and Folded by Michael Novio It took Michael Novio 3 hours to fold this so it’s not an easy model. Here’s another look at that Resistance X-Wing folded by a different artist. Image source: Imperial Shuttle, Designed by Konstantin Levit and Folded by Rainer Bergĭiagrams available from Konstantin Levit’s Flickr The benefit of using paper to fold one of these is that you can fold the wings up or out like they do in the movies. The Lambda Class Imperial Shuttle from the original trilogy has always been one of my favourite designs. Image source: Resistance X-Wing, Designed and Folded by Karol Kafarski You may or may not have noticed that the engines and wings are different than the classic X-Wing from the original movies and the differences are reflected in this design. This time around I tried to focus more on designs from the new movies but there’s definitely some classic stuff here as well.įirst up is an amazing Resistance X-Wing model from Karol Kafarski. ![]() The Last Jedi came out some what recently, I know I’m a bit late, and I’m a really big Star Wars fan so in this post we’re going to take a look at some more amazing Star Wars origami!
